What you need to know

Before you can be accepted into our Apprenticeship Program you must meet these requirements:

You must be 18 years of age
You must be physically capable to work in this industry and pass our entry assessment, also know as "Bootcamp"
Bootcamp is a 3-day process
- Day 1: Drug Test and Enrollment Paperwork
- Day 2: Physical Agility Test
- Day 3: Physical Agility Test and Oral Interview

O.J.T (On-The-Job Training)

Earn While You Learn

You will be paid by the contractor to whom you are dispatched and will learn the trade on the job site from a skilled journeyperson. For every 500 work hours plus the required RSI, you become eligible for a wage increase. Currently, the total number of hours required to graduate from the apprenticeship program for on-the-job training (OJT) is 3,000 hours.

R.S.I (Required Supplemental Instruction)

Courses: certifications, Industry, environmental, endorsement

Your coordinator will schedule a training class for you during the week. Some classes may last only 8 hours and be held on weekends. In-person, hands-on training from the industry's best instructors will help you develop your skills as a Brick Tender. For every 500 hours of on-the-job training (OJT), you are required to complete 36 hours of related supplemental instruction (RSI) in order to qualify for a wage increase and advancement in your position. The total RSI requirement to complete the program is a minimum of 224 hours..

0-500 Hours OJT $27.74//hourly wage

0-36 Hours RSI + $13.91/hr Benefits = $41.65/ Total Package

Second Period:

501-1000 Hours OJT $30.05/hourly wage

37-72 Hours RSI + $13.91/hr Benefits = $43.96/ Total Package

Third Period:

1001-1500 Hours OJT $32.36/hourly wage

73-108 Hours RSI + $13.91/hr Benefits = $46.27/ Total Package

Fourth Period:

1501-2000 Hours OJT $34.67/hourly wage

109-144 Hours RSI + $13.91/hr Benefits = $48.58/ Total Package

Fifth Period:

2001-2500 Hours OJT $36.98/hourly wage

145-182 Hours RSI + $13.91/hr Benefits = $50.89/ Total Package

Sixth Period:

2501-3000 Hours OJT $41.61/hourly wage

183-224 Hours RSI + $13.91/hr Benefits = $55.52/ Total Package

Journey Person:

3000+ Hours OJT $46.23/hourly wage

224+ Hours RSI + $25.72/hr Benefits = $71.95/ Total Package
